Those are really nice murals.
They are quite amazing portraits. I’ve watched the artists paint, and they just use a photo for reference. I used to think they projected images, because some of the murals can be very huge, but not. They just stand back every few strokes.

Excellent artwork, Resa. I don’t believe that an eye for an eye makes people blind, it evens the playing field. There have to be logical consequences and the meek are never going to inherit anything but the leftovers. Which is always a place to begin again, I guess. This place is brutal. Two different languages are being spoken. Peace and violence. It’s a war no one can win. Lovely post. Peace got him killed, like all the others. There has to be another way. Something we’re not seeing. Something in the middle. Think of Tibet and the non violent monks. What is their death accomplishing? They are dying for what they believe, like all the rest, but how does that help stop the violence? Something is wrong with just having two choices. Kind of like our political parties. Bad and worse. We need to see what’s missing, because peace and non-violence will never end the hate or destruction. It can work one person at a time, but not as a mass movement. Real hatred and violence is truly terrifying. I’ve seen it in the faces of the anti’s and there’s no reasoning with it. No sanity. They just hate and want you dead.

Yes, it is our time, our watch. I was quite moved to find these paintings. It’s crazy that MLK Jr. was killed 52 years ago. His words live on, as powerful as ever!
You’re allowed out and about now? We’re sort of getting there. From 4th July the floodgates open and… we’re going to have a lot of frustrated English people hitting the pubs. I fear concepts of multiculturalism and being nice are about to go out of the window!

Piccadilly Gardens and “very lovely” unfortunately don’t go well together. This is Manchester. It’s very lovely if you want to get some drubs off a zombie knife wielding chav, though.
Oh? Well, they show nice pics of it on Google. So, it sounds dangerous. The kind of place one takes their chainsaw for a friendly walk with their Marmite purchase?
I typically walk through very quickly and head to the nicer bits of the city centre. Such as the Northern Quarter, where that birdo picture is. If you want to score some drugs, though, Picc Gardens is for you!
