Tigers, such magnificent animals.Many years ago I went to a circus (back in the 80’s before the live animal ban) and got up close to one of these creatures and the power that they had and gave off was something I’ll never forget. I don’t like seeing tigers displayed on walls BUT in this case I’ll make an exception as it is a stunning piece of art. Thanks Resa.

      Sorry I missed this comment! It is a beautiful piece of art, and it’s relating a sad message that we must know.
      I’d love to get close to a big cat. I’m a cat person, to begin with.
      I always hated the circus and zoos because I hated seeing the animals in cages.
      Curious about why you don’t like seeing tigers displayed on walls?

      1. Hi again, I was referring to the fact I dislike seeing tiger pelts and heads (I think you have read my other comment which explains – we had a bit of a crossed kine of communication!) I like to see living tigers in their own environment (but as you say that is disappearing).

I always admire people who use their art to send a message -especially for animals, as they are voiceless. Such a beautiful being.   16. Lovely art. It disturbs me enormously within my lifetime there’s going to be chaos wrought on the natural world. Big business greed is the problem here. Those CEOs just gotta have their tens of millions.

  17. Art is a call to action. This mural has a frightening message to all who walk by. Our world is in peril. Each one of us has responsibility. We may not be able to change the whole world, but we can change our part of the world, beginning with us. A great post, Resa!

    I did a little research since I first came to your post and found this on https://animalfactguide.com/animal-facts/siberian-tiger/

    “Conservation Status: Siberian tigers are considered endangered by IUCN’s Red List. One cause of their dwindling population is loss of habitat due to deforestation. In addition, Siberian tigers are poached, or illegally hunted, for their fur and for body parts that are used for traditional medicine.”

    Many are working for the protection of this magnificent creature. The message is being heard. The work continues…

      I want to scream, and cry, pummel my fists.
      I feels so sad that this gorgeous creature is hunted for the shallowest of reasons.
      The message needs to be heard by the people who use the fur and medicine, then it will be of no use to the poachers.
      Poachers will move on to the next poor creature. They need some help finding another way to earn $$.
