Birdo has lent his talent to Feel Good Lane.
I’ve been a huge fan of his for 6 years. I’ve met him at least 5 times, once in an art supplies store. He remembered me, and is very sweet. ❦
There was a car parked, so I did my best to capture this adorable piece, in a window’s reflection.

The Artist: Birdo (aka Jerry Rugg)
This alley was painted as a tribute to Barry Luksenberg, who performed under the name “Feel Good”. At 24, he was killed in a motorcycle accident while travelling across Vietnam with a friend.
Now that is gorgeous. Those birds are so vividly beautiful, love the expression in their eyes. Wow, these artists are amazing! ❤️
I adore the artists, as much as their work.
PS. I got into Gi’s gown today. It’s really evolving, as it should! ❤
Keep me posted with your progress. I’m sure it’s so Gi. ♥️
Yeah! At first it was…white …cat… wedding … now add Jean Harlow! So excited!!! ❤
O, wow! Harlow. Yes! I get it completely!
Going to send a secret pic!
I’m waiting. ❤
Oops there it is! Ahhhh!
Love the fun in this mural. Wish we had wall artists here that were encouraged to spice up the wall space around here. That would certainly make it a more interesting place.
All you need is to give permission for artists to paint on your wall/garage door. The paint is pricey, but eventually, hopefully, the city would support it.
Nonetheless, no one can tell you how to paint your property.
Thank you Resa! I hadn’t thought of that. I do believe I’ll put my garage door on the free canvas list and see what happens.
Yay! Keep me posted!
This is gorgeous. You can almost feel the texture of their feathers.
I agree That’s Birdo for you! Birdo is one of Toronto’s most prolific street artists.
Birdo is wonderful. These images are so lifelike.
Lifelike, yet complete fantasies!
Durn parked car! 🙂 That is fabulous art, he’s talented! So, this is in the same area as the last post? I might never get past this alley – I’d be lost in the looking!
It the same alley as 2 posts ago … Butterfly Eyes.
If it wasn’t so cold out, I’d be walking around looking fo art. As it is, I’m working on my next Art Gown, and some sketches. 😀
Beautiful birds. I love the expressions.
They are adorable birds. The artist is very popular in Toronto.
This is a true delight. I love the birds and their wonderful expressions. Great piece of street art. Such a joy.
It is a joy! I’m also always swayed by Birdo’s sense of humour!
Very creative using the car–which was otherwise blocking the art– as a tool and photographing the reflections!
Thank you! Using reflections is a tool I picked up awhile ago. Many, many works are in parking lots. There’s no such thing as an empty parking lot in Toronto!
Delightful! These lovely birds do make you feel good. 🙂
Agree! They are adorable. 😀
Oh my God!
Pretty cute, hey? I guess you’re not the only one with gorgeous birds in their back yard… so to speak! 😀 😀
There’s always a car in the way, isn’t there? Couldn’t you pick it up and throw it away? That’s what I’d have done. You can’t let good art like this get wasted by cars.
Erm… no I tried lifting the darn car, but one of my arms fell off. I had to shoot the piece with one hand. Don’t worry, I’m sure there’s a reattachment product out there somewhere!
Are you that bothered about the arm? I reckon you could get a cyborg replacement with added super strength. Robo Resa. 🤖
Yes, and I don’t want to be a cyborg! Remember Blade Runner?
Bladder Runner? No. Never heard of it. I remember The Terminator, though. I’ll be Bach.
Reblogged this on Tempest.
Thank you!
I am really speechless. Fantastic work! Wish i could have this on one of our walls. Thank you for saving on images, Resa! Best wishes, Michael
So glad you like it! Birdo isa fave around here!
Its really !!! fantastic. Like real! Thank you for sharing, Resa! Best wishes, Michael
I love, love, LOVE these! The textures he manages to achieve are amazing. Thanks for sharing more beautiful art Resa!
You’re welcome & my pleasure, Terri! If I didn’t have blog pals to share it with, I’m not sure what I would do with it. I’m so glad there’s pals out here to enjoy the art with me.

That’s a truth! Still, like you say, his spirit lives on! Our pottery friend is Belen Soto! She did a lovely post for me. I’d like you to see it! https://arcillayfuego.com/2018/12/29/para-resa/
Either way, I’ll say hi!
Ooops! Nearly missed this one, Resa.. It’s very sweet, tweet tweet..
He, Birdo, is very special. I do love his art. Do you think he’d pop down to Oz and paint my garage door? Hehe.. I wish… 🙂
xoxoxo
You never know where the artists show up!
I have one coming here to check out my wall I want painted! Very excited. xoxoxo 😀
Oh wow! Can’t wait to see that.. ⚡️😍🎇
Colorful bunch of characters, I really like how you caught the reflection in the car window of the one bird. Nice fierce look. I look that way early every morning. 😉
Lol, so we look the same in the morning! 😀
Lovely birds and reflections. This is the right way to remember a departed soul- something bright & colorful.
What a wonderful tribute. Love these birdos ❤
Me, too! ❦
Wow! Beautiful work!
Such fabulous colors on this mural. The facial expressions on the birds bring a smile to my face 😀 another great find, Resa. 👍😊
Birdo’s art can be very whimsical. That’s why I adore it! 😀 😀
My husband creates whimsical art. It always puts a smile on the buyers and the viewers.
: )
Where can I see his art on line?
He’s on Etsy and a few other sites.
He does art shows here in our town and is on an art committee. We’re both retired from the art show scene. But art is always in an artists blood. Enjoy 😉😊😎

Damn that car for being in the way of us getting the big picture 😉
Wonderful art, as per…
Yeah, the nerve of people parking their cars in front of art. The least they could do is get a car wash, so the reflections are sharper! 😉
Birdo really created a fantastic alley with brilliant, vibrantly colored birds!
He is a very unique artist! I adore his work.
