I heard about this Fox & Owl, in the Ossington alley.

I knew where it had to be, so I went there. I came home, unsuccessful, but returned a few weeks later.

I re -did the alley, to no avail. I turned around to go home. Don’t know why, but I looked up. The reason I hadn’t seen it, is that it’s almost 3 stories high.

However, no matter where I stood, I could not get in the entire piece. I tried finding new spots to shoot from. When I got to the end of the alley, I saw a house for sale. There was an open house in 1 hour!

I’m always looking for an investment. Yay! There was a deck on the back of the house!

  3. Very enterprising and very opportune as well spotting the open house, it’s always rewarding to find something that has been elusive for a time.

    1. I’m so glad I found that open house! 😀 I was becoming a bit crazed not being able to capture the full piece. I couldn’t find anything to climb. I was considering 2 options. !. Coming back with a ladder. 2. Coming back on a weekday when the businesses were all open, finding the place that had access to the roof, and begging.

    What a cool adventure! I hope to follow in your footsteps and maybe find some art around Edmonton… though not today. Everything is covered in huge swathes of snow. 🙂

    1. Edmonton! I’ve been there in the summer, and it felt like fall. The snow melted here, but it could come back. It’s been a weird winter. I’m not a book reviewer, but I’m trying to do one for Ariella’s Escape. 😀 Amazon sent an email to rate it, I gave it 5 stars. Hopefully I can write a review that’s decent enough to put on Amazon.

    1. Dear Jet, I’m sure you like the story because of all you go through to capture all of the wonderful nature you share with us. You can relate, although my adventures are urban and yours are country and jungle and wild!

  15. I love that you didn’t give up. It’s amazing that it’s up so high. I wonder what it was like to paint it way up there. No wonder the characters are close-ups, because they had to be seen from long distances. Outdoor artists have so much to think about.

  18. I’ve heard of the famous OWL AND THE PUSSYCAT nonsense-poem by Edward Lear, but I don’t recall a pairing of owl and fox in literature. In any case, it’s a gorgeous mural, and you captured a pussycat in your previous post, so between the two posts, you’ve got the owl and the pussycat covered (with a fox as a bonus). 🙂
