For Emmie

I heard about a cat painting on an electric box.

Artist: Alexander Bacon

After walking for an hour with no luck, it was right in front of me. It wasn’t on a box, it was on a silo!

I fell in love, and knew it would be for Emmie, even though Emmie looks completely different.

The silo is round, and I wondered what the cat was looking at.

I even lucked out with an art shot when the sun came out for 30 seconds.

  1. Yep; Emily has more defined ‘white’ intermingled in the cutest way with her black; but, this one looks as though she/he would be just as intelligent.. 😉 😉 What a fabulous piece of art, Resa.
In the state of Victoria, Oz, quite a few very well known artists have painted some incredible artwork on many of the state’s silos (with the farmer’s permission and, dare I say, honour). I’d love to see them in person. If ever I get the opportunity I will, and certainly pass them on to you.
    Just a peek… 🙂 xoxoxo

    1. Wow! Those silos look fabulous!! Please, go!! How far away is Victoria?
All silos everywhere should be painted! Just my opinion. 😀 😀 xoxoxo
(PS I’ll take lesser art if it’s closer to you) 😀

      1. Haha…. Yes, I’d love to go!
It’s about a 12hr drive from home in The Hunter Valley, New South Wales. I’ve been to Melbourne, Victoria a number of times by both plane and car but, haven’t been on this particular route. They do look marvelous. 🙂 🙂
        I do have some ‘lesser’ art… I’ll send it on… 🙂

  2. Resa, I don’t know how to thank you for this truly wonderful gift. You are an amazing friend. I love this so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m so grateful and honored by this thoughtful and lovely treasure. Beautiful street art.

    1. I love this pussy cat art! I was feeling blue, but when I saw this art, I felt happy. So, your comment is insightful. I’m well, Charlie, and hope you are, too! ❤

                  1. Awesome! The ‘Red Notice’ is catching my interest. I just Googled it.

That Ariella’s Escape sounds interesting. Do you like reading more fiction? or non-fiction?

Currently, I’m reading “Emanations Flutter tongue 6 by: Steven Ross Smith. He’s a Canadian poet. He loves experimenting with words. 🙂

  4. You must have been thrilled to bits to find this silo after an hour of searching dear Resa ! Lovely cat !
I wonder what’s inside the silo ? Maybe the parking sign gives us a clue ¿ Or, perhaps it’s an ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Moggy) ?¿
Love & hugs. Ralph xoxox ❤

    1. I don’t know if there is anything in the silo? Good question. I hadn’t thought about that, as I was so happy with what was on the silo. Big pussy cat hugs to you and your family! xoxo ❤

    1. It’s a wonderful find, and the adventure is a big bonus. Another bonus… I finished Ariella’s Escape last night. Well done, Carolee.
